Introduction

The ROClib software collection contains all the software and firmware needed to operate nXYTER or FEET based Front-End-Boards (FEBs) with a SysCore V2 Read-Out-Controller (ROC). The package is structured in

• Different ROC firmware
• ROC ppc_software, used to communicate with ROC via Ethernet
• ABB package, which allows to communicate with ROC via optic
• roclib library with transport layer and data and device access classes
  • roc::Board - defines transport layer to connect to ROC
  • base::Peripheral - base class for all ROC peripherals
  • roc::I2cDevice - base class for I2C devices
  • nxyter::NxChip, nxyter::NxContext - nXYTER device and data context
  • nxyter::FebBase - represents a generic nXYTER based FEB
  • nxyter::Feb1nxGenC, nxyter::Feb2nxGas, nxyter::Feb4nxBT - concrete FEBs
  • nxyter::MainAdc - ADC used in nXYTER FEBs
  • nxyter::Message - Common class for working with arbitrary message type, produced by ROC
  • nxyter::FebUtil - bundles many utility functions for setup and test
  • nxyter::QuickDaq, nxyter::QuickDaqStats - simple DAQ environment
  • nxyter::DistFunc, nxyter::DistFuncArray - container for distribution functions
  • nxyter::NxDataSummary - container for distribution function parameters
• rocutil utility program
• rocupload program for firm- & software upload
• rocGui program for configuration of ROC/FEBs

• go4monitor program for readout and analyze data from ROC/DABC/lmd files
